Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of TakeYourSide (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Use of TakeYourSide

TakeYourSide is a structured public opinion analytics platform. Users read structured cases with source-backed context, cast a vote on a fixed set of options, and view aggregated results. Cases, context, categories, and vote sets are generated or reviewed through editorial rules, automated systems, and moderation controls.

TakeYourSide does not provide legal findings, factual verdicts, political campaigning, financial advice, medical advice, investment recommendations, gambling services, or fundraising services. Results and analytics represent aggregated user perception and are intended for informational, research, and decision-support purposes.

Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, sold, or transferred. You are responsible for activity on your account. Users under 13 may not create an account. Some categories may be limited by age.

Structured voting and aggregated results

Votes are cast on a fixed set of structured options defined per case. One vote per case per user. Votes are final and cannot be changed. Aggregated results reflect user perception, not objective truth or any legal/factual determination by TakeYourSide.

No legal/factual verdicts

TakeYourSide does not adjudicate facts, determine guilt or innocence, or issue legal verdicts. Nothing on the platform constitutes legal, financial, medical, investment or political-campaign advice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Create multiple accounts to manipulate voting or analytics.
• Post illegal, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually exploitative, doxxing, or defamatory content.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, or otherwise abuse the Service.
• Misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation.

Content that violates our policies may be held, edited, restricted, or removed. Repeat or severe violations may lead to account restriction or termination. See our Content Policy and Moderation Policy.

Subscriptions and Premium access

TakeYourSide may offer paid Premium subscriptions that unlock additional aggregated analytics. Premium does not buy influence, ranking, voting weight, political promotion, legal findings, or factual verdicts. Access depends on subscription status and applicable consents. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; access may continue until the end of your paid period if applicable. Refund eligibility is described in our Refunds & Cancellations policy and may also depend on the rules of the payment provider used to process the transaction.

Content reporting

If you believe content on TakeYourSide is inaccurate, unsafe, illegal, privacy-invasive, defamatory, hateful, or otherwise problematic, please report it via the Report Content page.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date and, when appropriate, communicated through the Service.
