This Privacy Policy describes what data TakeYourSide collects, how we use it, and your rights over it. We aim to keep data collection minimal and proportional to the public-opinion analytics purpose of the platform.

Account data

We collect data needed to create and operate your account: email, display name, and authentication identifiers from the sign-in method you choose. This data is used to operate the Service and communicate with you about it.

Profile and demographic data

You may provide profile and demographic information such as age, gender, country, education, and income range. Some profile fields may be required to operate voting, eligibility, or analytics features. Other demographic fields are optional. Income is never mandatory. This data feeds the aggregated analytics described below. We do not display your individual demographic data publicly.

Voting data

When you vote, we store the selected option together with a snapshot of your demographic profile at the moment of voting. This snapshot is what powers aggregated analytics. Individual votes are never publicly attributed to your identity.

Aggregated analytics

Vote results are presented as aggregated, anonymized statistics (for example, percentages per option, optionally segmented by demographic bucket for Premium users). We use aggregation and access controls designed to reduce the risk that individual users can be identified from analytics outputs.

No public display of personal demographic data

TakeYourSide does not publicly associate your name, profile, or any identifiable demographic detail with your individual votes or comments. Aggregations are the only public surface of demographic context.

No sale of personal data

We do not sell your personal data and do not share it with third-party advertisers. Aggregated, anonymized statistics may be displayed publicly or shared in research contexts.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. We may use privacy-conscious analytics to measure aggregate platform usage. We do not use third-party advertising trackers to sell or target users based on individual voting behavior.

Service providers

We may use service providers for hosting, authentication, email delivery, analytics, security, and payment processing. These providers may process data only as needed to provide services to TakeYourSide and are not permitted to use personal data for their own advertising purposes.

Payment data

If you purchase a Premium subscription, payment information is processed by our payment provider. TakeYourSide does not store full payment card numbers.

Your rights

You can review, update, or delete your account and the associated data from your profile settings. Deleting your account removes your personal data; aggregated, anonymized statistics derived from past votes may be retained for reporting integrity.
