The ruling involves Musk, Twitter, investors, and the standards governing challenges to federal civil-court verdicts. Keeping the jury's finding in place favors finality, while further review would give Musk another opportunity to contest the judgment; Breyer cited "substantial evidence of falsity."

The judge's decision leaves the jury verdict in force.
