The governor cited reports of unsafe, inhumane, and unconstitutional conditions at the facility, including poor sanitation and spoiled food, which have reportedly persisted for at least two weeks. This dispute raises questions about transparency and oversight of immigration detention centers.

The situation remains unresolved as ICE has not granted the requested access.
